The Canon 5D is a Full Frame Digital SLR, popular among professionals in all photography fields: Fashion, Advertising, Photojournalism, Weddings and Portraiture.  It’s my back up camera, it’s in excellent condition, and it takes beautiful photographs.

There are some newer cameras on the market, specifically the 7D, 40D and of course the 5D mark ii. The mark ii is awesome, but it’ll run you about $3,000 and the waiting list is a few months.   The 40D and 7D are both great too, but they have cropped sensors.  The full frame sensor of the 5D is what really makes it one of my all time favorite cameras.  If you ever spent any time shooting with an old school 35mm film camera, the full frame 35mm sensor on the 5D literally feels like coming home.  There’s no crop.  Your 35mm lenses work as they were originally intended.  And everything has that 35mm cinematic look to it.

I’ll also throw in a photography lesson if the buyer is just starting out as a photographer and wants to gain knowledge of : camera work, lighting ability, software skills and technical basics. I’ll also suggest comprehensive reading materials for all of the above.
